Flushing allows removing -by fluid transport- of several kinds of pollutants being present into pipes or mechanical devices. In order to "flush"
the pollutants, the fluid must circulate into the pipe (using pumps) until conditions of turbulent flux (see: Reynold Number) will be achieved.
Flushing is very useful in cleaning hydraulic and lubrication pipes; in that very case the task is achieved using a flushing fluid
similar to the typical working fluid of the device.
FLUSHING PROCEDURE
Here is two sample pictures of the oil flushing treatment:
DEVICES USED FOR FLUSHING
20 Flushing Units, differing for size and rate of flow.
They are built on platforms, onto which are installed:
- Tank for the flushing fluid (oil).
- Pump for filling and emptying the flushing circuit.
- Pump for re-circulation of the filling fluid, with step-by-step setting.
- Switching box.
- A complete series of filters.
According to different models, the basic features are:
- rate of flow from 60 l/min - to 2100 l/min
- electrical power from 8 kW to 120 kW
- tanks' capacity from l 70 to l 1600
All units are marked with the following marks:
F1 - F1A - F2 - F2A - F2B - F3 - F4 - F5 - F6
WATER FLUSHING
CTC staff can design special flushing solution for several kinds of industrial plants like:
- Offshore plants.
- Shipyards.
- Fuel system (JP5-AVCAT).
- HT – Lt High/low temperature cooling systems.
With our resources and technologies, we can design and build temporary circuits with applied centrifugal pumps able to develop a water flow in excess of 12000 l/min.
